5 Cricut Projects You Can Make for the 4th of July

It is always fun to use your Cricut Machine to create festive items for holidays and special occasions.
The 4th of July is no exception.
You can use your Cricut Maker, Explore Air 2, or Cricut Joy (not all can be made on the Joy) to make these fun July 4th themed projects.

I subscribe to Cricut Access so I cannot tell which projects require Cricut Access and which don’t, but you might be able to find comparable images in the free collection if you don’t subscribe.

I list the materials that you will need. However, I do not list the obvious which would be your Cricut machine, mats, and tools.
1. Patriotic Pinwheels
Nothing screams Fourth of July like red, white, and blue pinwheels.
These are so summery and simple to make.
All you need is
2. Star Garland
This is another easy Cricut project that won’t take a long time to create.
Simply string star cutouts together to make the garland.
I don’t think that you will need Access for this project either.
All you need to make it are:
- red and blue cardstock (this collection is nice because it contains some white, silver, and glitter as well – so you can add some sparkle to your garland, too).
- twine
When I made this project I found that the stars were too small for my liking.
So, in Cricut Design Space I increased the size of the stars to be about 3.5 inches across and two inches high.
I also increased the size of the holes proportionately, so that my twine – which is a bit thicker, would fit through.
The thing that took the most time was getting the spacing between the stars on the twine just right.
I ended up spacing mine about 8 to 9 inches apart but yours will depend on the width of your window, the length of your twine, and the number of stars that you decide to use.
3. Patriotic Paper Cups
This easy patriotic project is as simple as sticking a red paper star on a blue striped paper cup – and adding red and white paper straws as an accent.
I had a hard time finding blue and white striped paper cups – but you can improvise and use gold striped cups with red and blue stars instead.
4. Star Table Runner
Can I just say that I LOVE how this table runner looks?
It is so festive and fun – and I like that I can use both my Cricut Maker machine and my sewing machine to pull it together.
You will need a few things to make this table runner.
- Two solid colors of fabric and one print, in patriotic colors
- Glitter Iron in White and Red
- Coordinating thread
5. 4th of July Rosettes
These paper rosettes make for a fun centerpiece and they are cut from cardstock – so again, another easy Cricut project.
Not only that, but you may even have scrap paper lying around to make some of the accents.
Like the pinwheels above, you will need patriotic card stock in several different patterns and some dowels.

I will probably make the star garland and the rosettes.
Because I am short on time, I will have to save the table runner for next year – but it is definitely on my list!
