This is really great information – thank you so much for sharing! Those scam calls can be so annoying. Can you imagine what the people who set up these spam calls could accomplish if they used their skills to do good in the world?

Beware that even if a person does all the things you have recommended – you will still receive calls… Although, for repeat offenders of the scam call variety – people have another step in the process. Report the calls to the FTC…They keep track of the scam calls. You can try to block calls…but depending on your service provider – there is a “limit” as to the number of calls that can be bocked and if you’re lucky enough to run across a call center that have MORE phone numbers that it is virtually impossible to block all calls. In early 2022, I began to block phone numbers…and had met the maximum of 300 within four (4) weeks. On the other hand, you can purchase Caller Block Gadgets/Devices like the Panasonic Caller Block…that allows one to block over 500 numbers. The heaviest time frame for scam telemarketing calls are Tues-Thurs. Some days – I just want to toss the telephone out the window…as I can get up to 12 calls within a 4-5 hour window….and they’re all telemarketer calls OR the callerid “spoofs” your phone number and/or other companies…
