Hi Janet,
I see that you went through a very similar process. All the changes you made sound like they made the space so much more functional. For my project, I have been really happy with the results … and very impressed that my family has also been good with keeping the linen closet organized on an ongoing basis.

Mine used to be a scary mess too, but I made some changes last year which I’m very happy with. Here’s what I did:
– Moved extra paper products to a different closet; moved extra blankets from that closet to the linen closet
– Took a lot of household cleaners I will never use to hazardous waste facility
– Moved a plastic 3-drawer unit from another room where it wasn’t well utilized to the closet and put batteries in one drawer, shoe laces and related in another, and other small items in the third
– All of this made it possible for me to better organize the rest of the content
