Hi Susan,

Thanks for sharing your journey. I only recently realized that you were also in EBA, which has been such a helpful course for me. But at the end of the day I think it does come down to consistency in effort and message.

I love that you chose the blogging niche and and really dig deep into it on your site – your articles are so helpful.

Choosing a niche is my biggest challenge. I started this site as a personal lifestyle blog right around the time that I was doing a bathroom renovation of all things. So I wrote about it – and those articles still do really well for me.

However, I have branched out into writing about blogging as well home related stuff. So, I am a little all over the place. It is a challenge to dial it in but it is also a challenge to create meaningful content when the topic is not clearly defined.

I’ve considered starting from scratch or starting another blog (thus, this article) but my branding is all in place – and the task is just too big for my available time. So, I will stick with this one for now. 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Loved reading your story and my story is a little similar. I started several blogs back in the day and could never understand how to grow them.

With my new blog, which I started in October of 2016, I decided to invest in EBA as well. I figured it was time to actually do this the right way.

I wanted to choose a different niche other than the blogging niche. But I had no clue what to do. I’ve been working with WordPress for over 8 years as I am a freelancer from home.

So the blogging niche seemed perfect for me. So I started my blog and haven’t looked back.

As for being fun, I really do enjoy what I do. My blog does make some money every month, but nothing like the bloggers you mentioned above.

I have no doubt that one day it will. As long as I don’t quit like I have in the past, I’ll be fine.

This time is different as I know what it actually takes to grow a blog and turn it into a profitable venture.

Thanks for sharing your story and I have no doubt that you will see the success you’re looking for.

Have a great day 🙂

Susan

But I do LOVE it. It feels great to be able to help others with their Twitter marketing or other social media dilemma’s. On days I don’t think I can continue on I get a comment or email with someone thanking me and then I’m back in it for fun.
I do generate income several ways from the blog but I also invest in it too. I do want to grow it more in the coming years.
It’s nice to hear about how others are doing just that Neena. Thanks! Have a great rest of the week there Neena.
